For all that may not know my hair journey, I want to share with you the story behind Iris Botanicals' Rejuvenating Hair Butter. Two years ago around March, just months before my wedding I returned back to a salon for another quick weave not knowing that the last quick weave left my edges thin. The shampoo girl removed my bonded hair too prematurely (Still a bit dry) and snatched the bond with my hair from my head leaving me bald. It wasn't until it was time for my quick weave to be removed again (you can see in the second photo ) that I noticed I no longer had hair underneath. She left me looking like George Jefferson. I burst into tears when I removed the bond (the photo on the right).
I was in therapy for quite awhile trying to cope. Someone told me about Jamaican Black Castor oil. It had nice results using it but it only brought me minimal results (upper right). But I still wasn't able to really hide the thinned area atop. I still needed something that would bring my hair back. My wedding was in August and I had to get a sew in, which is considered to be a more delicate protective style for my wedding.
After the Honeymoon I started to do deep research on a more holistic approach for hair restoration. After months of research I used my prior knowledge from Massage Therapy school dealing with essential oils and their benefits and coupled that with some great organic recipes to create my hair butter. I used it religiously and it brought me my current results (bottom right). Not only is my hair back but most importantly my esteem is too. I'm not the only one with this story. So many women face this and they are without a remedy so they continue to cover up someone else's mistake that caused them hair loss. The pain of losing your glory is cannot be described.
